Brrrr the Temps Maybe Cold but the Housing Market Is Hot In Morris Plains

Author: Boy oh Boy an Arctic cold front has settled in and we can expect these lower temps to be around for a while. The spot price of Heating Oil has jumped according to Bloomberg. Natural gas stocks are beginning to draw down.
The kids have gone back to school today ending their mid winter break. Starting the New Year Morris Plains has only 23 homes for sale. There is one new one at 35 Leamoor MorrisPlains. It is a 2 bath 4 bedroom Ranch priced at 600,000. That may a bit to high but the location is great. The last 4 bedroom 2 bath home that sold in Morris Plains was at 565,000 in the same neighborhood . That house was a ranch as well but the kitchen and the both baths had been updated as well as the basement was finished. I will need to see how this house does. The number of mid priced homes is still pretty low in town.
My listing at 9 Cleveland is still in Attorney Review hopefully we will be out very soon.
I had another closing on the 30th of December. My buyer had been looking for a home for over a year and they wanted to close before the end of the year. We went under contract on December 4th and I got all the paper work done and in to allow us to close in 26 days. My client needed to close before year end so she could get the 8000.00 tax credit to pay for her daughters wedding in May. It felt great to get that done.
I also picked up another customer on December 31st. They are looking for a multi family in Morris County we have already checked our some properties in Morristown.
Things are really beginning to pop here the stock market is well on the way to 11000. The recovery is real and it has legs. Interest rates will remain low through the 1st quarter. the Federal State and Local Governments will need to make a concerted effort to freeze or lower taxes.
